The good, the bad, that's all.

The good: My mom does not have cancer.

The bad that should be good except I'm a motherfuckin infertile: Remember my friend J? She of the drugs and drinking and accidental knockedupedness?
Yeah, just got a text from her letting me know that she's giving birth to her daughter tonight.

That's all: Gotta go eat some Tofutti.

For the bad - Um...yay? Boo that it's not you.

"Ohhhhh, tofutti. Where are you when I need you, tofutti? Helloooo-oooo."

  2. Try to focus on the good because that's some pretty great news. Hopefully the tofutti will help with the bad.

  7. Great news about your mom, absolutely great news!!! YAHOO. Personally, I think you should at least break out the alcohol for that piece of info.

The friend giving birth is a whole other ball of wax and wave of emotions. It will be a process and just be nice to Io, I fear that road to be quite bumpy - I know you have traveled it times before. It never gets easier - or does it? I hope one day it will.

  15. Great news about your mom!!!

About your friend I hope with all hopes that she takes being a mother seriously as that would be the tragic thing (for you and baby).

I know you are bummed and I am so very sorry.

  16. Whew about your mom.

And maybe you should call your friend after she's been sleep deprived for a week or so and tell her about how relaxed and rested you're feeling, and how you're just about to go drinking with your girls.

  19. I'm so, so glad to hear your mom's not facing a battle with the big C.

Unstable friends having babies? Yikes, that's a tough one. Hang in there. She's got a long road ahead of her as a parent, methinks, not one I'd envy. Not that that helps much with the IF sadness...
