I'm melllllting!

The air conditioning in our office is not working.

Whew.
I'm thinking that today is a leave-work-early kind of day.

EDIT: 3:23 pm - I am home and walked in the door to find A making a mojito for me. I knew I loved this man.

  2. If not, then maybe you can convince your boss that everyone should be working from a remote location this afternoon. Say ... your favorite local pub?

  6. Lets all go home early! And sip on Cherry 7-up while lounging on the couch watching soaps! (or a stack of rentals!)

  8. yeah. H broke the a/c in our car when he had his little wreck. And we're having record-breaking heat this week/weekend. I may kill him by drowning him in the buckets of sweat that I've been making while riding in the car.

So, yeah. Go home early today, girl!

  9. Yes, our house totally has a/c, and I will be so glad to walk in the door this evening after riding home in the blistering heat. Suuuuuuuck. I think I've earned myself a nice frosty cocktail, too.

  10. I tagged ya'. Oh yeah, returning the favor. I don't think my game's as fun as yours was. Then again, who has better games than Io? Oh, that's right - no one. Damn.

  12. aww- what a guy!
the hub made me something he called apple beer tonight. never let a man who's been drinking beers with the neighbor all night make you a mix drink. Let's just say there's no beer & it's strong! It doe get tastier the more I drink- which is probably perfect after the week I've just had!

Enjoy your weekend & your mojito man!

  13. I love A_, too, for making you mojitos! What a good guy!

I know, I hate my job for taking me away from everyone, too. But on the plus side it will mean I have actual real money, which I could possibly use to vist people or meet them somewhere or at the very least send them weird presents in the mail. I know I'll work out a better schedule at some point - especially once I get into the swing of things at work and can start blogging from there - but it might take me a while. I am missing you, too. I think I'm also a bit bummed with the computer cause I just want to hang out with you and a few other good favorites, for reals. Like I want you all to live on my block and we could bake stuff and drink tea and have Sunday brunch potlucks and stuff.

You know you're old when your fantasies are all about foods and friends living nearby and walking your dogs together.

  17. Good job, man!

We've started roasting here, too: 100% humidity, ridiculously powerful thunderstorms, 90-degree heat. Just shoot me now.

    But first, a mojito. :)

  18. Excuse the double comment: I'm severely undercaffeinated.

Did you and A have any flooding trouble this week? You should have seen the main drag here, Io! Tanorexic undergrads on rafts floating down Kirkwood in a nasty, muddy torrent. The Art Museum was flooded. It's been insane.
