Vote! Choose Io's next adventure

So, I was going to go up to Michigan to visit Tracy (and Kelly) tomorrow. But Tracy's not feeling up to visitors so we've canceled. (Feel better Tracy!)

But...I already paid for a rental car. It was super cheap, and since it's already mine for the day I feel like I should use it. But where to go? What to do? SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

There's a poll in the sideboard - let me know if you have a brilliant idea!

  1. So many wonderful ideas!! I love the idea of going to Chicago but picking blueberries sounds like a ton of fun!!!

You get berries from your mother - go for the big city!

  6. I vote Chicago, but my heart is secretly telling you that I've done the drive from Indy to DC many times and it isn't that bad. Plus, you drive through that crazy place where they build a road through the mountain.

  7. How big is the rental car? Small then don't go to Ikea. LOL

    I voted blueberries.

  8. We went to Chicago a few weeks ago, and LOVED it!

We ate pizza at Gino's East (the one where people write on the walls), we had lunch at Frontera Grill (but I think you need reservations), and one time we had lunch on the river, I want to say it was O'Reilly's or something like that. The food was just ok, but it was fun to sit right on the river. It was right near the architectural boat tours (Michigan Ave.?), maybe the next street down.

That architectural boat tour was FABULOUS, by the way.

    Have fun!

  9. I assure you, IKEA isn't all it's cracked up to be. Not worth a day trip. It's gotta be blueberries or Chicago, babe.

  11. I just spent the day in Chicago (since I am 30 minutes away). Warning-I did see many children and prego bellies. So my initial reaction was the city. But then I saw Michigan. I love some of their beaches! We frequent Warren Dunes and South Haven. Hard decision.

Enjoy yourself no matter what you decide!

  12. I voted for Chi-town.

I didn't see "Down to Georgia to throw things at mean people with Kym" on your list.

I am feeling better today, after LOTS of rest over the past few days. Hope you found some kind of grand adventure and good trouble to get into.
