Amazing

Are you watching the Olympic opening ceremonies right now? Because if not, go turn it on. This is fantastic.

  1. Yes, and it is rally had to blog at the same time. I am doing a terrible job at both. It is unbelievable and intimating at the same time. I keep thinking that if Chicago wins its bid for 2016 that we may fall on our face! Keep enjoying!

    Oh, and happy belated birthday!!

  5. I watched the whole thing in complete awe. My favorite part was the boxes wavy section. I thought they were being moved via computer programming or something and was stunned to see that there were people in there! Can you imagine the amount of planning and practice that went into just that one section alone, much less the entire ceremony?

  7. It was way cool, though I faded out after the US made their parade through...I hope I didn't miss much after that.

  8. I liked it but I thought it dragged on. Could have used some upbeat portions. Seemed like everything moved really slow. Maybe that was my ADHD?

  12. ah, yes. I missed it completely, and I'm pissed. I was taking a damn final (and then fighting with my everlovin' husband), so I didn't get to see any of it. SUCK!

  15. Did you get it in HD? Unbelievable.

Hey, did anyone notice the total absence of GIRLS in any of the difficult scenes? All they got to do, aside from the few that came out in the fancy costumes, was that crappy cheerleading job during the parade of nations. Also, China is clearly hiding its less attractive girls. No fatties need apply.

But aside from that (which really did piss me off) it was pretty amazing.

  16. I loved it - so impressive :) But watching the Aussies enter the stadium is always my favourite part. I had a bit of a hissy fit at the screen when I saw their uniforms though - just hideous!
