Odds and ends

Sadly, I think I have temporarily run out of gross body things to talk about. I know, I know...what good am I?

And the only exciting thing I have to talk about is that after somebody (no, amazingly not me!) in my office finished off the girl scout cookies, I got a call from my friend Jen saying that they had a box for me! So I once again have Samoas. Now I just have to keep from eating the whole box.

Ah. And I have found an excuse for my not blogging. Teh Charlie will not allow the typing while he is resting. Which is most of the time. Clearly my wrist is the best place for his head.

Of course, it could always be worse.

  2. I've never seen such a "oooh, I love you and need Samoas" look from a hound...a cute hound at that! Glad you're back Io.

  4. Samoas? That so bites...up here our Girl Guides (same as your Girl Scouts) only have two varieties. A mixed box of chocolate and vanilla, and chocolate mint. Most people are loyal to the mixed box. But, man, to have the variety that you guys have...and peanut butter to boot!

    Anyway, enjoy your cookies!! :)

  5. You need to hurry up and get some hemorrhoids so we have something else to talk about.

(Okay. I actually don't wish that hell on anyone, so never mind that. No need for suffering in the name of entertainment.)

This may be the first year that I am free from the pressures of the Girl Scout cookie purchasing! I don't work in an office, so no one's mom is there to push them on me. All the girls at school are too old to still sell them and too young to have a child on whose behalf to push them. There are no kiddies in my neighborhood. Woohoo!

Er, except that I like Girl Scout cookies... I'll have to get my fix from the ones who stand outside the grocery store. Well, except that I still have a box of Thin Mints from last year that I have been successfully resisting for some time. Maybe my love affair is drawing quietly to a close. That's sad.

CHARLIE! Let her type! It is weird, isn't it, how whatever hand needs to be doing something else is the one most attractive to the pets? Oh, those funny little creatures...

  7. I am convinced your sweet Charlie is related to my cat Leah. The both like to get lost and love computer time!

One of my last big fights with my husband was that he bought 4 boxes of girl scout cookies and only brought 1 home from work. I was not lucky enough to get samoas. Maybe I will yell at him all over again!
